Just listened to your podcast. Just a couple of things to say here.

I’ve actually watched the first season of Vampire Diaries and it is interesting. There was a spoiler I read in looking up vervane on the TVD wiki about werewolves, and by the way the last scene of season one and the first episode of season two unfolded, I’m guessing continuing to watch season 2 will unveil them. Please, though, no more spoilers than absolutely necessary; spoilers sometimes ruin the fun.

I haven’t seen Pacific Rim but I’ve heard of it; I’ll definitely watch Robot Jox first, though, if it is in fact a prequel to or origin story (meaning it starts in the present or future but flashbacks to a prequel story) of Pacific Rim.

One of my film recommendations would have to be my all-time favorite movie, Dances with Wolves (or Shumanitatonka Ob Wachi, if you prefer the Sioux name; yes, I probably spelled that wrong). It’s a very powerful Kevin Costner film about a U. S. Army soldier who becomes enthralled with his Sioux neighbors. Some people have actually said that Kevin Costner was completely changed, that he was humbled, or perhaps that his spirit was broken (not sure about that one) after doing this movie because of how emotional and enlightening it was. It is an incredible movie and I highly recommend it even if you’re not a fan of historical films. It’s not really a “dark” film as Donnie Darko or The Crow would be but I still highly recommend it. Like I said, it’s a very powerful film.

Also, a question: can I assume that podcast dates and times are posted on Facebook? And are they EST, PST, or another zone? I wouldn’t mind tuning in live but I never seem to know when they’re broadcasting. Because of RL stuff, I haven’t really listened to a lot of the podcasts but I always seem to catch them after they’ve aired when I do.

Glad to have you listening! We’ll do our best not to give too many spoilers away for you. (You most definitely won’t hear any from myself for The Vampire Diaries, since Sanctuary hasn’t managed to get me to watch a second episode of it as of yet.)

As for the podcast times, we try to keep it pretty consistent. You can tune in on Sundays at 4pm Eastern, 1pm Pacific, or 8pm UTC to catch us for the live show, and we always love it when people join us in the chat room as well. Hope to see you there.

        Thanks.

By the way, I forgot to mention that I was checking out the music when the site first came back up (or as soon as I saw that it had, at any rate). One of the bands I stumbled on almost immediately was Collide. The more of their stuff I’m listening to (and I commented on the interview with them, by the way), the more I’m loving their videos. The artistry is wicked and the music is absolutely perfect for a number of my “moods”.

Loving the new interface, Atnevon. =)
