Yes, if it were easy, I'd never have thoughts of suicide. And that, my friend is a fact.

Very well put. Others can speak for themselves if they wish for said facts to be known.

Nope. i talk to myself and the voices in my head all the time. I use to have amazing powers too. But then the zoloft took them away. Damn, depression medication!

Nope. I'll be 19 in November. And yeah, they were. What those idiots didn't get is that, when I tried socilalizing with people, especialy in grades 7 and 8 they ended up taking advantage of me, or they just didn't want me around. it wasn't my fault. And I did have a few boyfriends in middle school aand high school. So, in a wierd way, I did socilaize. I just didn't talk to over 80% of the people there.

ok, the reason I was asking, is that that is the incorrect definition of anitsocial personality disorder. That is a case of being unsocial. I've been arguing with my family about it for years now.

Diagnostic Criteria

A. There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 18 years, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

1. failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
2. deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
3. impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
4. irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
5. reckless disregard for safety of self or others
6. consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations
7. lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another
B. The individual is at least 18 years old (under 18 see
Conduct Disorder )

C. There is evidence of Conduct Disorder with onset before age 15 years.

D. The occurrence of antisocial behavior is not exclusively during the course of Schizophrenia or a Manic Episode

I do wish people would get this straight.....

this is from the "Psychologist's Bible" as its called, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV)

sorry...enough of the psychologist rant....

I wish I would have known that when I was 12. Hey, if you hear voices but they don't give you orders or hint at wanting you to do anything, would that be considered being Scytzophrenic. Sry, if the spelling isn't acurate, I'm not fully awake at the moment.

that one's more difficult to determine. If you seriously think you may be schizophrenic, my suggestion would be to consult a liscensed professional. I'm just a student, so i'm not able or allowed to diagnose anyone. I don't want anyone trying to self diagnose either, cause that leads to major problems. I just get tired of hearing antisocial misused so much.

Well, I have a theory. Do you think, that since the voices truly only seem to echo what I'm thinking they could be voices I've had in past lives, or have known from past lives? I'm thinking that they could be. And since, they don't realy give me orders I'd perfer it if they stayed. I find them amusing. , I told he last shrink I had about the voices, and she just said she thought I had depression and anxiety. That's why she put me on Zoloft.

I don't think those voices classify you for any mental disorder, especially if that's the only "symptom" you have. Again, I'm not qualified or licensed, so I'm in no position to be diagnosing or dissmissing.

You're theory sounds plausible to me tho, from a human interested in that sort of thing stand point, rather than shrink to be stand point. :)

i think most people experience something similar. I hear a voice as i think, like what i'm typing or something....it spells things out for me when i'm writing, that sort of thing....
