Cynthia's Storm
The coming storm as seen through the window
The pittering of rain pattering upon the sill
A flash sets me aright within my chair
And the crack of thunder breaks the calm
A sudden gust of wind seemingly rocks the home
My own safety in apparent and sudden jeopardy
Yet within my mind only thoughts of you

Another calm as seen upon the evening news
The radar shows the prettiest green skies above
But the yellow follows and then the red
A thunderous sound breaks me from the forecast
And again through the window my gaze rests
The swaying trees barely visible through the rains
Yet within my mind only thoughts of you

The breeze without gusts in a gail force
And the rains now rush in a bitter torrent
Though are soon replaced by icy spheres
The crashing hail beats upon the roof deafening
Flash, boom, flash boom plays the celestial band
The heart of the storm must be overhead now
Yet within my mind only thoughts of you

It's passing now, though still in full fury
The lights flicker on and off then extinguish
Alone now surrounded by both noise and silence
Alone within darkness and its interrupting flashes
I know the storms will soon pass over this place
Leaving me alone awaiting your return
Yet within my mind only thoughts of you

I've no clue how I double posted that last one...with a two day gap *boggle*

Slip Mickey
Clink, clink the dropping ice shouts
Forming frost upon the frozen glass
He pours your tea it's refreshing glee
Let me kill you from the inside

Two glasses one each for him and you
With a final kiss he sits down by you
And sets the glass by your side and smiles
Let me kill you from the inside

Did you see what he in secret slipped in
Can you taste that certain flavor of hate
Can you tell those bubbles from my dissolve?
Let me kill you from the inside

Take one long look - see me so enticing
Take me in your hand feel that I am fine
Drink me in then let it begin
Let me kill you from the inside

Nothing but my love

You deserve the stars and I can't even reach the clouds
I'd give you the moon but I've already stretched to my limit
You can have my all - I'm nothing,
You deserve more then this...

You deserve the world but I've no land to give you
You deserve the open seas but all I have is tears
You can have my all but I'm void,
You deserve more then this...

You deserve the great wide open but I'm confined
You should ride upon the winds though sadly I'm grounded
I'd give it all were it mine to give,
You deserve more then this...

The very little I have is yours for the taking
The next to nothing that is mine I will give to you
But only if you are willing,
You deserve more then this...

As I stretch and shake off this morning dew
I look to you expecting my rightful due
What's not becoming is simply taken
Borrowed, broken, beaten or shaken
I will exact this toll, what is mine to take
And if it's not given freely ~ rape
Though as I hold you to this Just cause
Do not let these actions give you pause
For it's through love that I proceed
And from this love, I'll make you bleed

Look passed the flesh to unleash what lies within
Move passed the passion and then I can begin
This is not what it seems there is no fire
I must dig deep to bury that desire

I've done things that I will certainly regret
These will have to be so for them I'll not fret
I have this shovel and so for piece of mind
I will dig deep to see just what I can find

And of these sins I will tuck them all away
Of their doings I will never again say
So this my dearest is your final farewell
I must dig deep so that you can never tell

I Want More
Tie the ropes so I can't run
Tell me again we're having fun
Fuck me harder make me cry
Make me wish I want to die
Bind me to your will with leather
Bruise my flesh then flick the feather
Do it all until I'm broken
Then do it again until I've spoken

Bind my hands behind my back
Blind my eyes I'm seeing black
Wind that rope around my knees
Make me whimper as you please
Pull it taunt through stifled cries
Force me to love what I despise
Do it all to have your way
Then do it again until I say

Wine me, Dine me, Stand behind me
Lock the chains that sever bind me
Crack the whip to make me bleed
Across my face do spill the seed
To these boards your will I'm bound
Then lay me down upon the ground
Do it all then do some more
Then do it again -- I want more

Sweet Tennessee
Drove past Ohio and Indy with no regret
Left P.A. and Kentucky without a fret
Iíve been through Georgia and Illinois
But both those states to me, annoy
Not Michigan, Virginia or Caroline
Can compare to the one I love so fine
So in this state Iíll forever be
With my Sweet Cyndi, Tennessee

Over hills and knobs and mountains tall
Iíve hiked and biked or saw them all
Over lakes and creeks and rivers wide
Iíve waded, swam, or on boats did ride
In many other states Iíve done the same
But for apples to oranges theyíre all just lame
There is but one state Iíll forever be
With my Sweet Cyndi, Tennessee

A Garden of Emotion
I have a little basket where I keep all my thoughts
I pluck them one by one like tomatoes from the garden
Then gently place them in this basket hanging from my arm
They are put there side by side to protect them from harm
There are many different kinds like memories and emotion
I do my best to keep them all separated so they will not mix
But as I walk row by row sometimes my basket wobbles
And when this wicker box is full sometimes some will topple
Then tumble down to my feet, most are still OK
Though other times they may burst right open
So if I step in haste within such tomato paste
I too will fall

Listening to Bjork's Hyper-Ballad I was inspired to write the following...

Push back
I had that dream again
The one over looking the bluest of seas
Waves washing up upon the stoney shore
Spraying foam and thunder upon the rocks
And I wish you were standing before me to see it

I had that dream again
The one with the wind whipping my hair
Like I was flying, diving like an eagle
Happy that itís found itís prey
And I pray that youíd have taken flight first

I had that dream again
The one where your words threw me a moment too far
And I flew for a second before the fall
Then my world crashed upon foam and rocks
And now I hope your next lover will have more courage

I'm not certain I understood the first one you posted - blackened mace of tempered steel, and all that. What was the message you were trying to convey in that poem? It was good, though. I liked it. :)

We're all born the same way: wet, cold, and screaming; life is just as messy as death.
We all eat, drink, piss, shit, fuck, and die. Someone mind tellin' me the punch line?

Its about the end of the world as we know it as the ancient ones come and devour us all.
