I'd say that financial accounting is quite a sensible thing to take some courses in. More people should do that so see what the value of money is, and how it can be handled in a proper way.

I should try to find some money and time (and especially dedication) to pursue something that is related to graphics and 3D work.

I'm not following any courses or have any education going on at the moment, but i did have some background in building (theory and stuff like that)
Unauthorized Copying is not only forbidden, but will prey upon your conscience, spoil your sleep, destroy your complexion, and eventually will wind up turning you into the kind of person who drinks methylated spirits out of a bottle hidden in a brown paper bag, and who lives under bridges, burps noxiously, and prays day and night for release from the unsupportable burden their life has become. We thought you'd appreciate the warning.

A complaint you won't find on the internet... (Until now, hee hee)

After working for a year as a drafstman, I applied at ITT to get my Associates Degree in AutoCAD.

After enrolling, I learned that I might get an Associates if they are able to get accreditted. To my knowledge, they still haven't yet.

My class was being taught by an Afghan immigrant. Now, I got nothin' against immigrants, except this guy learned French, moved to a French speaking country, learned English there, then moved to America. Needless to say, his English sucked.

Third, while I understand that we had to review remedial math just to be sure we knew it, after 6 weeks of reviewing simple multiplication because the school accepted a crap load of idiots, I got tired of it.

Fourth, with only a year's experience as a Draftsman, I was better at it than the teacher. He had a Masters in Business; he'd never been a Draftsman, nor ever used AutoCAD, before in his life. I finally resorted to charging him a buck for every answer I had to give him.

Needless to say, I didn't go back after the first semester.

I have heard of that happening before. If you get a degree from there and then decide to go to a university you will have to take all the credits over again because the universities won't except them. You might be able to find a few that will but most won't.

Well, after seeing all those complaints and what-not against ITT Tech (see previous post), I'm definitely not going there; and RS' post is just one more reason for that. Thanks for alerting me, peeps. <_<

NP I would hate to see someone waist there money going to a worthless school. I hope you can find a good one to go to. I have found the best way to find out if a school is a good one to go to and if it is credited is to call the big universities and as them hay is __________________ school credited? That is what my hubby did with Art Institute before he decided to go there.

What I need to do is get to the student help office and get a check list of the classes I need to take for my major. All tho I have not started my major yet. lol trying to get caught up on the classes I need to have in order to take my major, Business Management. I will probably be able to take a few of them next term tho. I hope I can take some of them that is.

Ok I change my mind of my last post instead of the majority of you taking an art I would say its a tie between art majors and Psychology.

Dirk oh you should take a class on that... just look at your art! Imagine what you could do with a bit of training? *drools at your artwork*

See that's what I thought too.. .sensible... as compared to my career most of my life which has been the complete opposite lol. Far cry from sensible.

I'm liking the course but it's a bit tougher than I thought it was going to be. I'm used to never cracking a book and getting great marks... this one I've had to read and re-read. I'm beginning to believe that accountants purposely over complicate things just to make themselves appear smarter. In fact I'm sure that's exactly what's going on. (Those sneaky number crunchers)

Although, it is helping me to understand a world that is far different from my own which I think is a good thing.

oh and...

Class average 77.5

My average 90.5 B)

<-is all proud. and damn it I worked for that mark! How dare they make me actually work for it!

How us everyone else enjoying their learning experiences?

I'm back in college full-time after an eleven-year hiatus. Going for a Business Management - Accounting degree. Going to be a bean counter with a 9-to-5 job and enough money to keep the new wife happy and me in ammo for the weekends. ;)
