Okay, awhile back Water asked me to write something for/about her. Seeing as
my knowledge of the Oracle is a little limited I just decided to make something
up and post it here.

Remember Water.... you asked for it :D

The calm serenity of the summer winds blow across the endless seas,
waves of life and history flow upon the banks before me,
Gazing out towards endless hues of blues and greens and white,
taking in that awesome spectacle that flows far beyond one's sight.

Or take perhaps the inland stream that weaves and flows through the land,
patiently and endlessly shaping it with a fluid hand,
Speaking of times long gone and sunrises forgotten,
Showing you the glimpses of visions and shadows buried within.

But how does one embody this water if possible at all?
Could one be described with such a power and rise to the call?

Take for instance the gentle rains of the early spring,
whose slight drops of life fall in such a way that you can barely hear the falling,
With such a kind and gentle caress that even the smallest mouse,
could enjoy the feeling of water coming down not hiding in a house.

But then take you a summer storm, strong and wild and unrelenting,
The water lashes out at you with a fierce whipping,
A deluge to drown the most hardened soul and make cower anyone,
Crashing down in sheets and walls strong enough to block even the sun.

And the oceans and the seas, the truth of water's physicality,
calm one moment, unforgiving the next, a contrast in reality,
Water gives life and sustains the masses,
But yet it can destroy all the gents and the lasses.

How do we define though the one named Water?
Well, I'm sure an expert could explain from his ivy-league alma mater.
But from what I've heard for sure and true,
Better be nice or Water will get you.

*takes a bow as he finishes yet another performance of the bards*

Is it just a little sad when you can't remember you wrote something?
*boggle*

No. I read over my own poetry every once in a great while. To remind myself that I can still do it. Sometimes I wonder about what it was that inspired me. Sometimes I read my journal for the relative time period that inspired a poem.

That was pretty good for busting one out on the fly.

Enki, my problem is I don't remember writing this at all. I know it's mine cause it's here but I don't
REMEMBER it. I have that problem. I wrote and coded a game system in Java, but now if I try to fix the bugs
or add anything I can't remember how I did it. Just like it goes *POOF*.

But still, I do wonder what possessed me to write it in this fashion.......
