To keep our live band chats as organized as possible, a different ruleset will be in place while band and artist members are present. Please keep these rules in mind when entering.

Rules

1. All questions *must* be submitted via email to admin-team@secondshifters.com at least 1 hour prior to the interview broadcast. Questions submitted after this time will be disregarded.


2. For the duration of the band's stay in the IRC Chat, the channel will be fully moderated, leaving only band members and room operators available to speak. This is not done to restrict your right to free speech; it is done in order to prevent channel flooding and to allow our artists to respond to questions and comments in an orderly fashion.
   
   Often times the artists we debut on our Podcast Interview Series will have extremely large fan bases, and it is not reasonable to expect them to be able to answer to dozens or even hundreds of people at once.  While artists may display super-human levels of musical talent, we assure you that they are in fact real people, and because of this their typing fingers can only operate as quickly as the laws of physics dictate.


3. Private messages to band members will not be allowed at any time. Should you wish to direct a comment or question to the band members after the chat has begun, please visit that artist's website and go through their normal means of contact.
   
   Even with a fully moderated chat room, the artists are going to be focussed entirely on providing answers to the questions provided to them in the main chat window.  We know that you may feel urges to tell them how much you love their work, but doing so while they are trying their best to keep up with the chat is disrespectful to the time and attention they are already giving to us.


4. Any attempt to break these rules or any other abusive behaviors not mentioned above will result in a *permanent* ban from both the Second Shifters website and the IRC channel.
   
   This is non-negotiable.  Our rules for these chat sessions are easy to follow, and if you are intent on breaking them, we do not want you as a member of our community.
