Back in the early days of dial-up computing, there was a game made for bulletin board systems that was called Legend Of the Red Dragon (or LORD for short), which gained a huge degree of popularity among other geeks like myself. The game was a simplified RPG that let you do everything from slaying dragons to rescuing princes and princesses from evils untold. It brought role playing back down to earth a little so that people could play without devoting their lives to it. While the systems that LORD was run on are now all but extinct, the basic ideas of the game have been transformed into a web based game, conveniently called Legend of the Green Dragon, with a few nods to the original game included for those of you who might have played it.
All you have to do in order to get started is to answer a couple questions to help determine what kind of character you want to play as, and from there you'll very likely become addicted.
